Doctor Who and Cutting Files

Hi there Crafty Geeks!

It's Kat again with another geeky craft post!

My husband and I have been watching a lot of sci-fi and fantasy television lately, and while I have a few new shows that I really like, one old show that we've been catching up on is Doctor Who, and I know I'm not alone in the geeky crafters that are also Whovians, but I thought I would share this file that can be used on multiple cutting machines to make your own wall sign or vinyl laptop cover.

It's the Doctor's name in Gallifreyan and the new Doctor Who logo.  I hope to test out the file tomorrow, for a wall hanging, but I wanted to share it tonight before I got involved in all the possibilities.  Once I get some vinyl, I'll cut a laptop sticker and share all the pictures with you!

Here's the file:  CLICK HERE  I've included the MTC(Make the Cut), SVG, AI/EPS, and the PDF.  Please let me know if any of these files don't work and I'll try to fix them for your use!

That's it for tonight!

Let me know in the comments who your favorite Doctor is!
Mine?  I got addicted to the series with Chris Eccleston as 9, but David Tennant as 10 definitely keeps me laughing!

Allonzy!

Kat

  1. Thank you very much!! I plan on cutting one for my laptop as well! Are you going to make more Doctor Who svg cutting files? I am wanting to have a Doctor Who party ... and when I move, I plan on having a Doctor Who themed room. Thanks so much for sharing!

    1. Sharon - it works great in vinyl! I have a tardis and the DW tardis if you're interested in those - I can also do names in Gallifreyan (I have my name on the back of my phone.) What sort of things are you looking for? I don't have a sonic screwdriver file yet, but I do have a cowboy hat, a converse, 3d glasses, regular glasses, and a bowtie. I need to do a fez, a dalek, and the cybermen - I haven't decided which others to do yet, but I'm sure I have a rose (flower) as well. I usually just convert them from clip art. Let me know what you're interested in and I can make some or send you what I have. You can always email me at weyrdkat at gmail dot com

I did a few more files. I have some profiles and villains and sonics plus even K-9! Let me know if you want others than these, but here are 3 sheets I made. http://www.mediafire.com/?ke14i78e5cm24sk,phqhhfh5g7vemew,95mddi9929389lc

  4. Sorry it took me so long to respond.... that move (we lived in that house for over 20 years!), going to school full time, working part time, and having a family) took more out of me than imagined.

Thank you so much for sharing these files!!!! I am definitely going to be cutting some files!! Laptop will get one ... tablet ... and most likely my phone!!!! ... and I'm going to cut one and put it on our Power Wheels (modified power wheels we race at maker faires) car for the Maker Faire later this month! THANK YOU!!

    1. No problem! I hope they work out for you! Lately I've done a tardis wordblock I might post and some writing in Gallifreyan. I have some birthday cards in my shop that came out quite well and can't wait to do more.
